What can you lose? Let go of? Say goodbye to?
The last few years I’ve increasingly found that a key part of the design and innovation process is asking myself what I don’t need—whether I’m working on a book, a website, branding, or helping to tell a company’s story. Finding the gems is critical, but the world won’t see them if they’re covered in dust.
Here’s a little piece I just published on Huffington Post about how a developer and high school teacher used this technique to come up with a parking garage and high school classroom that are each, in their own way, remarkable.
What could you lose today?
