Would you eat a plate of pigeon heads? Do you know the lucky number in China? The worst possible gift to hand your host?

My first trip to Asia has opened my eyes to how much more I need to know about China. Though I’ve had the good fortune to travel widely in Europe, Latin America, and throughout the U.S.,  China seemed another world.
